We wanted to take a moment to shine a light on an organization doing truly essential work, and one we are honored to support: Inspira. They are a non-profit association in Lima, Peru, offering a safe and loving home for children and their mothers who travel for cancer treatment and other critical medical conditions.
Inspira’s mission is simple, yet profound: “No child with cancer should drop out of treatment.”
For children receiving long-term medical care far from home, Inspira provides stability. They offer accommodation, healthy food, and transportation free of charge. Beyond the logistics, they create an atmosphere of joy, emotional care, and healthy eating, fostering positive bonds and memories during a very fragile and difficult stage of life. We have personally witnessed the immense and compassionate work that Dr. Ricardo and his dedicated team put in every day for these children.
The Critical Need for Support
Inspira’s facility has the capacity to serve 120 people, offering a lifeline to over a hundred families. Unfortunately, they are currently operating at only 58% capacity. This isn’t due to a lack of need, but a critical shortage of donations from both businesses and individuals.
This gap means that dozens of children who desperately need a safe haven, nutritious meals, and reliable transport to their appointments are currently unable to receive it.
