In 2025, Matthew Newman, a freshman student in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, started the Legends 29 initiative to assist local individuals and families. The initiative provides support with food, utilities, and hands-on help. Matthew felt that since he will be in Tuscaloosa for four years, he should contribute directly to the community.
