Anthony Richardson

Food Security & Health Care

Anthony, a dedicated student from Houston, Texas, is pursuing a degree in healthcare with the goal of making a meaningful impact in the medical field. A lifelong basketball enthusiast, he brings the same passion and discipline from the court to his academic and community work. Since joining the Newman Global Initiative in 2019, Anthony has been actively involved in food drives, seniors’ outreach, and refugee support. He also contributes to the Sunflower Project and the We Can Help Foundation. His strong commitment to service and leadership reflects his drive to create positive change both locally and globally.

Kabeer Gill

Chair of the Advisory Board

Kabeer, an Ivey Business School student and experienced mental health advocate, serves as Chair of our Advisory Board. He primarily mentors our high school volunteers, guiding them to identify opportunities and master micro-funding through The Modesto Project.

Under Kabeer’s leadership, the team provides “helping hand” micro-grants, not loans, for local food programs, small businesses, and education. By removing the weight of debt, we empower recipients to thrive. When beneficiaries find success, they are invited to pay it forward, creating a sustainable, community-driven cycle of impact rooted in Kabeer’s vision of collaborative growth.
